Man on the Moon

Don't go to sleep
You will see good things
It's no use counting sheep
You cant escape what the night brings
Don't be afraid of the dark
What you cant see cant hurt you
Know the beast by its mark
Don't let your courage desert you

The unseen are seen
Livid luminous beings
I'm not quite sure what they mean
I'm not quite sure what i'm seeing
Things fall from the sky
Celestial dancers
Ask the man in the moon why
He don't answer

The man in the moon he's got something to hide
So he keeps to his room on the dark side
He's biding his time, shining his shoes
Watching dan rather on the six o'clock news

Lynch went to town and bought him a dress
It was found in the barn torn into shreds
Invisible hands, eggs in the air
The vanishing man cut off his hair

Dowager graf sat in a box
She'd already done half, she was ready to rock
A flashing of teeth, a wound on the hand
And blood on the mouth of the vansishing man

Cause he's the vanishing man
The man on the street
Moonwalking on the corner to the weasel beat
His number is 18
or make it 3 times 6 He's back from where he's been
He's playing dirty tricks

The last will be first
First be last
Adam is cursed
Eden is passed
Some where be spared
Others destroyed
You got insrance up there?
Um....better call Lloyds

Luminous fleas on a big black dog
Horses erect in a blizzard of frogs
Luminous swine
Eating phosphorous grain
Is it the end of time?
Or the beginning again

Cause if you can dream
You can have nightmares
So go ahead and scream
If you think anyone's out there
Things fall from the sky
Celestial dancers
Ask the man in the moon why
He don't answer

Fluffy Wuffy Bunny

The fluffy wuffy bunnies hip hop down Happy Street.
They skip and laugh and bow their ears to everyone they meet.
They’re never sad, they know no pain ‘neath cotton candy skies.
And no one ever stops to think, and no one ever dies.

The pretty witty kitties they prance in Gleeful Glen.
They frolic ‘mongst the flowers, and sing and laugh and then,
they greet the fluffy bunnies; together they do play.
Then home to happy families, to laugh and sing and pray.

The ugly bugly ogres were banished long ago.
The good King Good decreed it, they simply had to go.
Before they left a party to honor them was held.
The whole realm in attendance, and not a smell was smelled.

And everyone was happy, and everyone was glad,
and no one smiled a frowny frown, and not a one was sad,
except to see the ogres go, there was no other choice:
‘cause ugly isn’t pretty, it scares the girls and boys.

The king decreed the weather, and never did it rain.
He banished the diseases; he exiled death and pain.
They all left with the ogres, on Good Ship Lollipop,
It sailed across the ocean, and never did it stop.

The fluffy wuffy bunnies sing happy tappy tunes
They skip and laugh and decorate with baubles and balloons.
and no one is a mopey dope and nothings ever bad,
and no one ever stops to think and everyone is glad.

Billy Boy

Come!" said Billyboy.
"Why?" said Hare.
The coal bins empty and the cupboards bare.
The gas ain't working and the dogs unfed;
if we don't have some soon I'll be out of my head.
I want what I want and it's only fair.
"Come!" said Billyboy.
"Aye!" said Hare.

"Here!" said Billyboy.
"Where?" said Hare.
We'll have some whiskey soon if we dare.
They're buried deep in the cold hard ground
but quiet now - don't make a sound -
we're attracting attention and they're starting to stare
"Here!" said Billyboy
"Aye!" said Hare

"Dig!" said Billyboy.
"What?" said Hare.
Don't stop now cause we're almost there
They drop the booty down way down deep
and pray the Lord their souls to keep
just a bit further and you'll have your share
"Dig!" said Billyboy
"Aye!" said Hare

"Now!" said Billyboy
"When?" said Hare
I got what I want and it's only fair
Cause I'm the butcherboy and you're the thief
and Knox is the one that'll buy the beef
so cut the feet off and leave them there
"Now!" said Billyboy
"Aye!" said Hare

Old Spot Old Stain

He's a red herring
He's the black knight
Got a bad feeling
Not a fair fight
He's got red buttons
On his red shirt
March through Angola
Search for pay dirt
He's a white russian
With a black heart
Call the red army
Watch the fun start

Got a red barber
For his brown hair
Woke up one morning
Found it weren't there
He's a red menace
It's a raw deal
Just got new curtains
Made of red steel
Eats off red china
Wears a red tie
Hear the dead screaming
Hear the serf's cry

Old spot old stain
A red of the usual strain
Old stain old spot
He's something he's definately not

He's a red herring
It's a sad sight
See the world turning
In a new light
He makes red peasants
Beg for brown bread
They say fools rush in
Where anglos dare tread

He'a a white russian
With a red phone
Here the poles calling
Hear the dead moan

How's your archipelago?
Is it fast? Is it slow?
Ask the mujadeen
They know what i mean

Old spot old stain
A red of the usual strain
Old stain old spot
He's something he's definately not

Hard on the Square

Riddle me this said the middleman blinking
Directing his question to nobody there
So little time and I'm fresh out of thinking
All that what's left is a wing and a prayer
Many are called but few of them chosen
It's all hunky-dory and devil may care
Anything goes and it's no use supposing
They're dead or they're sleeping and nobobdy cares

Riddle me this said the middleman reeking
Directing his question to nobody home
It's all well and good in a manner of speaking
But what does a Roman do when he's in Rome
Never you mind said the clever one squosen
Anything goes when the cupboard is bare
Their heads are cut off and their bodies is frozen
We'll meet on the level and part on the square

Riddle me this said the middleman one drinking
What's after the floods and the plagues and the boils
Whatever you wish said the clever one shrinking
Now stop what you're doing and straighten my coils
Many are called but few of them chosen
It's all hunky-dory and devil may care
Their heads are cut off and their bodies is frozen
They're dead or they're sleeping and nobobdy cares

Riddle me this said the middleman wiggling
Adjusting his collar and straightening his tie
Never you mind said the clever one giggling
Just give me my dollar and kiss me goodbye
Many are called but few of them chosen
Anything goes when the cupboard is bare
Their heads are cut off and their bodies is frozen
We'll meet on the level and part on the square

Generation Excrement

Just think I used to be a freak
Smelly a really grungy wanker
But now I'm magically transformed
Into a superhuman slacker
Just when I thought I was nowhere
That's when I saw the tables turning
Now I'm the big pig in the pen
Heroin and a drunky monkey girlfriend
Pierce my belly button now
Pierce my little hairy eyelid
Watch now follow all the tracks
Right down to desperation's doorway

Hey now I'm such a groovy guy
Yo dude just dig this crazy hairdo
Yo babe how you like my slacks
You bet I got them at the head shop
Once was zero with the chicks
Could not get laid inside a whorehouse
But now my rap is ultra hip
Just one sneer and the pants come unzipped
Hey now your dancing full of angst
Oh shit I'm full of desperation
That's why I'm glad you buy my stuff
It sounds good in your daddy's 911

Just think I used to be a freak
Smelly a really grungy wanker
But now I'm magically transformed
Into a superhuman slacker
Just when I thought I was nowhere
That's when I saw the tables turning
Now I'm the big pig in the pen
Heroin and a drunky monkey girlfriend
Hey now you think you are so cool
Say hey I make you mosh and quiver
Well now your such a fucking fool
When I think how dumb you are I shiver

Howl

I saw the best mimes of my generation destroyed by mosh pits, stinking tattooed knitcaps,
strung out on whippets and cafe olé, flannel bedecked in fashionable tie-dye bean bars,
acned hepcats burning for the Gobi grass and free love of a generation whose Volvos they disdain,
who howled on their knees in Seattle cathedrals praying for each others hair,
who lounged hungrily in their own feces like swine, fascinated by the holy splendor of their own ordure,
who let themselves be fucked in the ass by their own saintly parents, and screamed with joy,
who broke down bell-bottomed and crying at the romance of their own futile nobility,
with their pushcarts full of sprouts and bad music,
who barreled down the highways of the past in big daddy's Acura with Starkweather and Keroac
journeying to the grateful Dedalus fish karmathon to save the world,
who in humorless dissent pierced one symbolic testicle protesting fashion and narcissism,
who blew and were blown by human scum and sailors, carcass of onan amen,
who ran naked and laughing through their own filth,
gleaming in supernatural ecstasy as the universe instinctively vibrated at their feet,
ah, Kurt, while you are not stupid I am not stupid,
and now you're really in the total vegetarian soufflé of thyme--
and who therefore defiantly slashed their wrists three times unsuccessfully,
gave up and majored in hotel administration and wondered if they might not be cool and cried,
and rose reincarnate in nowhere Zen New Jersey blowing the soul of creation's suffering into an eeny meeny miny saxaphony and leaving obscene and ambiguous e-mail messages,
with the desperation of life butchered out of their own bodies
good to eat for a thousand years.
